Worcester School Board Donald Smack, Sr. Has Done Little to Represent Minorities in The Community

School board member Donald Smack, Sr. has done little to represent the minority community in Worcester County's District 2. The MCAP results indicate just that. The system categorizes people by race, which we don't like to do. However, we will use their statistics and racial grouping to show how ridiculous the establishment is.

Why do we even group people by their color? It starts with the federal government under liberal legislators. The State of Maryland and the unions propagate it to ensure that everyone stays in a categorized box that can be controlled and exploited. Those who are traditional Democrats are kept in the system through deceptive entitlements that make one dependent on the system. As a result, people trade short-term needs for long term independence.

Countless black children sadly grow up in fatherless homes, which negatively impacts society. Single parent females find themselves marrying the government in order to make ends meet. The cycle continues decade after decade. Yet, everything is blamed on others for the outcome we see today. The fact is, the Democrats are to blame, and those who have wilfully taken the serum of deception.

Donald Smack, Sr. is a Democrat that has failed to address this problem in the community. We all know that education is the way out of this trap. Yet, the system has enticed and kept minorities in this snare. Although Smack may be a nice guy and known in the community for decades, the statistics of his seated representation show otherwise. The establishment has categorized children by their skin color, which they have done to not only maintain funding, but to increase it. Historically, the more money the school receives to address a problem, the worse that problem gets.

Citizen: "But I know Mr. Smack. He would never allow this."

He has allowed this, and if you take any time to look at any school board meeting on YouTube, go to WorcesterSystem and go to the end of any board meeting recording to listen to board comments. Mr. Smack is a bump on a log. He does nothing, says nothing that's meaningful, and fails to offer solutions to real problems. He' a union pawn who's there to maintain the status quo.

Let's look at Black/African-American proficiency in Worcester County:

Among black students, Worcester has an average proficiency of 45.5% in English Language Arts (compared to 69.4 for the entire school district), and average proficiency of 18.5% in math (compared to 39.3% for the entire school district). And that's just an average, since many students have a proficiency much lower than this. This is unacceptable.

Of these children that the school system has grouped by race are fully capable, with many having genius minds. Black success means the end of the gravy train for the establishment, because the establishment receives more funding for as long as black students perform poorly. Today, the school system uses poverty as a reason why someone cannot succeed, while lining their own pockets from that excuse. Although poverty creates a set of challenges, circumstances do not limit a brilliant mind of those who are determined. It's an excuse that will never end if we continue on this path.

It's time for some major change. Let's do all that we can to break the cycle, by voting for someone new to represent the people.
